In the context of a deeply shifting world under the impact of science, technology, innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, green transition, and the restructuring of global value chains, governance quality and leadership capacity are increasingly becoming the decisive factors for the competitiveness of every nation and enterprise. For Vietnam, the requirement for rapid and sustainable development associated with deep international integration poses an urgent task to innovate the growth model, in which building a team of corporate leaders with strategic thinking, modern governance capacity, and the ability to lead innovation is identified as one of the key conditions to realize the country's development goals.
As part of the Global Young Business Managers (GYBM) International Program, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) hosted a special dialogue on 10 July 2026 featuring Dr. Ko Tae Yeon, Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Business in Vietnam (KOCHAM), and Ms. Huong Vu, Chief Executive Officer of EY Consulting Vietnam. The event was designed to provide participants with deeper insights into Vietnam's work environment, the evolving expectations of employers, and the competencies young professionals need to build successful careers in today's rapidly changing world.

On the afternoon of June 30, 2026, in Hanoi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance hosted a working session with a delegation of experts from the University of Évora (Portugal). Concurrently, a scientific seminar was organized under the theme "Public Governance in the Context of Transformation: Leadership and Change Management". The program is a practical initiative to strengthen international cooperation, expand academic connectivity, promote scientific research, and facilitate the exchange of experiences in public governance, training, and the development of high-quality human resources.

On the afternoon of June 5, 2026, in the 2nd-floor Auditorium at the headquarters of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (77 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Hanoi), the Academy organized a thematic seminar titled "Development-Enabling Legal System: The Driver for Vietnam’s Rapid and Sustainable Growth in the New Era." Applying AI to build Vietnam's Public Service in the New Era: A New Approach to National Development Capacity in the Age of AI

In recent years, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become one of the most discussed topics in research on public governance and national development. However, most existing works tend to approach AI from the perspective of technology, digital transformation, or administrative reform. The book "Applying Artificial Intelligence to Build Vietnam's Public Service in the New Era," edited by Prof. Vu Minh Khuong, takes a different path: placing AI in relation to state capacity, the quality of the public service, and Vietnam's national development prospects in the 21st century.
