On the morning of June 15, 2026, in Hanoi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance, in collaboration with the Daewoo Global Management Academy (South Korea), organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 "Global Young Business Managers" (GYBM) Program. The program was organized to equip trainees with knowledge about Vietnam, its working and business environment, while developing necessary competencies to learn, adapt, and work effectively in an international context.

Within the framework of the State Visit to Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines by General Secretary and President To Lam from May 27 to June 1, 2026, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics signed Memoranda of Understanding with Khon Kaen University (Thailand) and the University of the Philippines. The Memoranda of Understanding were established in areas directly related to public governance, local governance, and public sector capacity development, reflecting the increasingly close linkage between high-level diplomacy and governance capacity development in service of the country's reform and development endeavors.

The Academy of Public Administration and Governance Participates in the International Conference on State Governance at Fudan University, China

On May 26-27, 2026, the 1st International Conference on State Governance with the theme "Stronger State - Better Governance: State Capacity and Governance Efficiency in a Globalized World" officially took place at Fudan University, China. The international conference was co-organized by the School of International Relations & Public Affairs (SIPRA) at Fudan University and the Global South Think Tanks Alliance (GSTTA), drawing the participation of more than 100 scientists and experts from China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, South Africa, and other Global South nations. The opening session featured welcoming remarks by Mr. Jin Xin, Vice-minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee (IDCPC), and Mr. Qiu Xin, Chairman of Fudan University.

According to a special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), at midday on 28 May 2026, in the Thai capital of Bangkok, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul of the Kingdom of Thailand jointly witnessed a ceremony for the exchange of cooperation documents between ministries and agencies of the two countries. Among them, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics) and Khon Kaen University (KKU) of Thailand exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation, marking a new step of development in the Academy's external affairs and international cooperation activities

On the afternoon of May 20, 2026, in Room 3A, Building G, the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation chaired and organized the Student Conference: “Awareness seminars to Vietnamese students, academic and administrative staff on Erasmus+ opportunities”. This is a central activity within the framework of the STRIVE project (WP2, D.5.2) co-implemented by the Academy of Public Administration and Governance. The conference was held in a hybrid format (in-person combined with online broadcasting) with an international broadcasting point in Italy.

APAG Delegation Completes Second Working Week in Canada: Advancing Cooperation on the Inclusive Local Governance Project and Local Leadership Capacity Development in Viet Nam

Following the first week of working activities in Ottawa, Canada, from 9 to 14 May 2026, the delegation of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG), led by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, President of APAG, continued its mission in Québec City, Victoria, and Vancouver to further explore, assess, and strengthen cooperation with Canadian training and public sector development institutions within the framework of the Inclusive Local Governance (ILG) Project in Viet Nam. The second working week carried particular significance. It not only enabled the Academy to gain a clearer understanding of the capacities, strengths, and potential contributions of each Canadian partner institution, but more importantly, contributed to shaping a strategic approach to the ILG Project focused on developing a local leadership capacity system closely linked to public governance reform and the transformation of local government models in Viet Nam.
