Stepping onto Campus, Beginning a New Journey

From early morning on August 25, the campus of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance was alive with the footsteps of the Class of 2026. Some were accompanied by parents, while others traveled hundreds of kilometers alongside friends to be present on the first day of their university life. New backpacks, carefully prepared application files, and shy, innocent smiles—all combined to create a truly special enrollment day.

Each new student arrived at the Academy with a distinct story. Some had chosen their major long ago, while others found their fit through careful research. Yet, they all shared one thing in common: standing at the threshold of a new journey filled with excitement and expectation.

"I have waited for this Day for a long time"

As one of the new students majoring in Office Administration, Nguyen Phuong Thao arrived at the Academy quite early with her family.

"I feel very happy and a bit nervous. I had previously researched the Academy and the Office Administration major, and the more I learned, the more I felt it aligned with my personal orientation. Being here in person today, completing the enrollment procedures, and seeing other students makes me truly realize that I am now a university student," Phuong Thao shared.

For Phuong Thao, what she looks forward to most in the years ahead is the opportunity to gain knowledge, hone skills, and participate in the Academy's activities.

"I hope that over the next four years I will mature, become more confident, and clearly define the path I wish to pursue after graduation."

"I want to understand more deeply how the Administrative apparatus operates"

For Tran Minh Anh, a freshman in State Management, her choice of study stemmed from an interest in governance and a desire to gain deeper insights into the operations of the administrative apparatus.

"I think State Management is a field closely tied to everyday life. Every policy and management decision has a specific impact on society. I want to learn systematically about how agencies and organizations are structured, managed, and operated, while equipping myself with essential knowledge for my future career."

Visiting the Academy for the first time to complete enrollment procedures, Minh Anh shared that she felt both thrilled and slightly anxious.

"Before arriving, I was worried because this was my first time completing such important procedures on my own. But once I got to the Academy and received dedicated guidance from teachers and student volunteers, I felt much more reassured and at ease."

To Minh Anh, enrollment day was not merely about officially becoming a student, but also the starting point of a new journey with many exciting opportunities ahead.

"I hope to gain many experiences, learn, train, and gradually grow more mature during my university years."

"I chose Law because I want to understand and protect what is right"

For Le Hai Nam, a new student in Law, his choice originated from a passion for legal matters and a desire to pursue a meaningful career for the community.

"I enjoy learning about law and topics related to individual rights and obligations in society. I believe studying Law is not just about knowing regulations, but also about developing logical thinking and gaining a more comprehensive perspective on issues."

Arriving at the Academy on enrollment day, Hai Nam noted that his nervousness quickly gave way to excitement.

"I look forward to meeting new friends, learning from professors, and especially accumulating rich experiences during university. I also want to challenge myself through extracurricular activities so my student years are not just about studying."

"I want to preserve and continue telling stories of the past"

While every major opens a unique path, for Pham Ngoc Ha, a new student in Archival and Records Management, her choice sprang from a fascination with documents, archives, and stories preserved across time.

"Previously, I thought clerical and archival work was simply organizing and storing documents. But after looking into it deeper, I realized that behind every document are information, stories, and values that need to be preserved."

Ngoc Ha shared that she selected this field to study archival and records management systematically while equipping herself with essential skills to work in this domain after graduation.

"I love the feeling of exploring what has been preserved over time. I think these are not just papers and documents, but a part of memory and history. I hope my years at the Academy will help me gain a deeper understanding of the field and provide many opportunities to gain hands-on experience."

For the new student, her first step into the Academy marked the official beginning of a new chapter.

"I know there is still so much to learn ahead, but I am very excited. I hope to have memorable university years and later pursue a career aligned with the major I chose."

Different choices, One shared starting point

Office Administration, State Management, Law, or Archival and Records Management... each major offers a distinct trajectory. Yet on this first enrollment day, the Class of 2026 shared a single starting point: the joy of officially becoming students of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance.

Today, they may still feel unfamiliar with the new lecture halls, the campus layout, or the names of professors and newly met peers. But in time, the unfamiliar will become cherished routine. Initial lectures will pave the way for months and years of activities, practical experiences, research, and personal growth.

Today, they step through the Academy's gates carrying enrollment dossiers, bringing along choices, expectations, and the vibrant dreams of eighteen-year-olds.

Four years from now, what the Academy aspires to see are young adults stepping back out through those same gates with a richer endowment: knowledge, fortitude, practical skills, responsibility, and unwavering conviction in their chosen paths.

Welcome, Class of 2026, to the Academy of Public Administration and Governance.
