Viet Nam and Thailand are close neighbours in the Southeast Asian region, bound by a long-standing friendship and a tradition of fruitful cooperation. Over the 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026), relations between the two countries have steadily advanced and grown ever stronger, particularly following Viet Nam’s accession to ASEAN. Today, the Viet Nam–Thailand relationship is flourishing across all fields, in keeping with the framework of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Within this current of cooperation, the active presence and participation of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance in high-level external relations activities further affirms the Academy’s role not only as a centre for the training and development of human resources in public administration, state management, public governance and development governance, but also as a bridge for academic exchange, policy dialogue and international cooperation in the field of public governance, making a practical contribution to the country’s integration and development.
The Academy’s participation in the exchange of cooperation documents within the framework of this high-level diplomatic event between Viet Nam and Thailand further affirms its standing, prestige and increasingly important role in training, scientific research, policy advisory services and international cooperation in public administration, state management, public governance and development governance.
This also represents a significant milestone reflecting the Academy’s proactive and active engagement in implementing the external relations policy of the Party and the State. At the same time, it expands the Academy’s network of cooperation with reputable educational and research institutions across the ASEAN region, thereby strengthening knowledge connectivity, promoting academic exchange and enhancing public governance capacity in the new context.
