Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong, Vice President of the Academy, delivers the opening speech for the training course
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong emphasized that the robust development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation is profoundly changing the methods of scientific research and academic publishing worldwide. Against this backdrop, the capacity for international research and publication has increasingly become a vital requirement for the faculty and staff of higher education institutions. This capacity enhances the quality of training and scientific research while asserting the educational institution's prestige and position on the international academic map.
According to the Academy's Vice President, alongside the immense opportunities brought by AI, scientists are also facing numerous challenges, such as rising standards for international publications, language barriers, rigorous peer-review processes, and stringent demands for research methodology, data processing, and journal selection. This requires the teaching staff and researchers to continually update their knowledge, innovate in research methodologies, and proactively apply technological advances in their professional activities.
Driven by these practical requirements, the Academy organized the training course to equip its staff and lecturers with the necessary knowledge and skills regarding the scientific research process, the application of AI in research design, literature reviews, data analysis, and international journal writing. This is a practical activity that enhances research capacity, promotes international publications, and strengthens the Academy's academic integration in the new era.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luong Thanh Cuong requested the trainees to fully participate in the program, promote a proactive spirit, actively exchange ideas, engage in discussions, and share practical experiences to maximize learning efficiency. He also urged the Organizing Committee to meticulously prepare all necessary conditions to ensure the training course is implemented according to schedule and achieves its set objectives.

Through this program, the Academy expects to further enhance the scientific research capacity of its staff and lecturers, promote international publication activities, expand academic cooperation, and gradually build a team of scientists capable of adapting effectively to the new requirements of the digital era.

Immediately following the opening session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Van Hung presented the first topic on the research and international publication capacity requirements for lecturers in the context of digital transformation, while sharing extensive practical experience in applying artificial intelligence to support research activities and international scientific publications
