On August 19, 2025, at APAG Headquarters in Ha Noi, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Khuong (Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy - LKYSPP, Singapore) during his working visit to Viet Nam. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, President of APAG, with the participation of the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation, members of the Editorial Board, and the group of authors contributing to the project.
At the working session. The working session focused on reviewing the implementation progress of the Project “Collecting and compiling international experiences in building an excellent public administration that serves the people and enterprises.” The parties agreed on the plan to compile the book “Accelerating Viet Nam’s development in the era of rising: Applying artificial intelligence to learn from international experiences in building an excellent civil service.” At the meeting, the book outline, task assignments, and follow-up activities were discussed in detail.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien emphasized that the project not only carries academic value but also holds great practical significance, contributing to the creation of a modern, transparent, and effective Vietnamese civil service. The collaboration between Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Khuong and LKYSPP will serve as a valuable knowledge source, offering numerous opportunities for international cooperation that will benefit APAG in the future.

He believed that with APAG’s strong determination for reform and Viet Nam’s administrative renewal, the combination of international experience and the application of artificial intelligence would contribute to building an excellent civil service that serves both the people and businesses, while promoting Viet Nam’s rapid and sustainable development in the new era.
In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien invited Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Khuong to attend and present a paper at the Public Governance Forum themed “Enhancing innovation capacity towards national sustainable development in the new era,” scheduled to take place on October 24, 2025. The two sides also discussed collaborative activities between APAG and LKYSPP, including: internship exchange programs, faculty exchanges, and nominating candidates to participate in master’s and doctoral training programs in Singapore.
The meeting reaffirmed the determination and close coordination between APAG and international experts in the process of researching, compiling, and implementing academic cooperation activities, thereby contributing to fostering innovation in Viet Nam’s civil service.
