Attending the Launching Ceremony, representing the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hai Binh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Academy; Assoc. In addition, the ceremony was also attended by members of Steering Committee 35 of the two Academies; representatives of officials, lecturers, students, and trainees from several universities in Hanoi city; along with a large number of lecturers, public employees, trainees, and students of the two Academies.

Delivering the speech to launch the contest, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance emphasized: The year 2026 holds particular significance as the entire Party, people, and army actively implement the major decisions of the 14th National Party Congress. The success of the Congress continues to affirm the bravery, wisdom, and strategic vision of the Party in formulating the country's development guidelines in the new period; while setting out many new requirements and tasks for Party building work, ideological and theoretical work, as well as the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

In that context, the Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a practical activity, contributing to raising awareness, consolidating trust, and at the same time promoting the research and creation of political essays with scientific and practical value.

For the Academy of Public Administration and Governance, participating in and organizing the Contest is not only a professional activity but also closely linked to the Academy's functions and tasks in training and fostering the contingent of cadres, civil servants, and public employees for the political system. With its role as a training and scientific research institution on state management and public governance, the Academy has the responsibility to contribute to forming a contingent of cadres with firm political bravery, scientific thinking, practical capacity, and the spirit of serving the people in the country's new development period.

During the training and fostering process, raising awareness of ideological and theoretical work and protecting the Party's ideological foundation is always given attention by the Academy and integrated into teaching, research, and academic activities. This is not only a theoretical requirement but also an important condition to build a contingent of state management cadres with a firm political stance, independent thinking, and the analytical and critical capacity to face complex issues in social life.

In order for the Contest to achieve practical effectiveness, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ba Chien requested that party committees, party organizations, and leaders of units pay attention to directing the implementation of the contest seriously and methodically; linking participation in the contest with scientific research, teaching, and academic activities. At the same time, the contingent of lecturers and scientists needs to promote their pioneering role, actively participate in, guide, and encourage trainees and students to create high-quality political essays; strengthen coordination with higher education institutions, press agencies, and mass organizations to spread the significance of the contest and attract the broad participation of forces in society.

Delivering a directive speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hai Binh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance in continuing to coordinate with the Academy of Journalism and Communication to organize the Launching Ceremony of the Contest. According to him, this is not only the starting activity for a new contest season but also an opportunity to affirm the role and responsibility of training and research institutions within the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics system regarding the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the new situation.

He also emphasized that in the context of the country continuing to promote comprehensive and profound renewal and implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, alongside opportunities and advantages, we also have to face many difficulties and challenges; in which hostile and reactionary forces continue to increase their sabotage activities in the fields of ideology, theory, and media, especially in cyberspace. Therefore, the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation needs to be implemented more proactively, scientifically, and creatively, not only stopping at fighting and refuting wrong views but also actively building and spreading theoretical values, and the vivid scientific and practical arguments of the country's renewal process.

Speaking at the Launching Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Duc Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of Steering Committee 35 of the Academy of Journalism and Communication expressed his respectful thanks and seriously absorbed the profound directive opinions of the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. At the same time, he affirmed that the leaders of the two Academies will coordinate closely, implement the contest in a methodical, scientific, and creative manner; and promote the combined strength of state governance thinking and modern communication skills to create high-quality political essays with wide spread in society.

At the Launching Ceremony, representatives of lecturers and students from the two Academies delivered speeches in response, expressing their determination to actively participate in the Contest with a high sense of responsibility, contributing to spreading positive values in the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

The ceremony concluded in a solemn atmosphere, demonstrating the determination of officials, lecturers, trainees, and students of the two Academies to actively participate and contribute quality political essays to the 2026 Contest.
