On the morning of 22 January 2024 (Italy time), within the framework of the Project “Strengthening Internationalization of Vietnamese Emerging Universities” (hereinafter referred to as “the Project”), the delegation of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lương Thanh Cường, Vice President of the Academy, attended the Project Kick-off Meeting held in Bologna, Italy, hosted by the AlmaLaurea Interuniversity Consortium.

Prof. Dr. Lương Thanh Cường, Vice President of the AcademyIn 2022, the National Academy of Public Administration was among seven organisations and higher education institutions participating in the submission of the STRIVE Project Proposal. The proposal was approved and funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme, aiming to modernise international cooperation practices in Vietnamese universities and to promote collaboration and linkages between higher education institutions in Europe and Vietnam. The STRIVE Project spans three years, commencing in 2024 and expected to conclude in 2027.

Prof. Dr. Lương Thanh Cường, Vice President of the National Academy of Public Administration, emphasised: "In defining the development orientation and strategy of any higher education institution, international cooperation plays a vital role in fostering cross-border, multinational linkages, creating strong and effective connections among domestic and international partners, and contributing to the improvement of learning outcomes for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This is among the essential conditions for the sustainable and robust development of the National Academy of Public Administration. The Academy is confident that, together with the Project members, close cooperation, mutual support, and joint efforts will ensure the effective implementation of Project activities and the achievement of its intended objectives.”
As part of the working programme of NAPA’s delegation in Italy from 20 to 26 January 2024, the delegation is scheduled to meet and work with Tuscia University and the University of Bologna to expand the Academy’s international partnership network and to actively promote faculty and student exchange programmes, thereby contributing to the realisation of key goals in the Academy’s higher education internationalisation strategy.
