Dr. Bui Phuong Dinh, Vice President of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance, presenting gifts to partner institutions participating in the WorkshopIn his remarks at the workshop, Dr. Bui Phuong Dinh emphasized that the focus of this training workshop - exchanging and sharing experiences on international faculty and student exchange programmes - is of great practical significance for higher education institutions. Each exchange programme constitutes an opportunity for institutional capacity-building toward meeting higher education standards. The information shared during the workshop will be highly valuable for STRIVE Project members to exchange strengths, foster cooperation, and implement activities in the coming period.
As the lead institution in charge of developing the new project proposal, and following the outcomes of the training workshop in March held in Portugal, the Academy’s leadership encouraged several lecturers and staff with expertise in tourism education, project planning and financial management, and information technology to conduct specialized research, foster creativity, and consolidate collective intelligence. This is among the various approaches prioritized by the Academy’s leadership to advance internationalization objectives to each faculty/department and to individual staff members. By expanding opportunities and enabling experiential learning for both individuals and collectives, staff capacity and faculty/departmental capacity are strengthened, forming the foundation for the sustainable development of the Academy’s institutional capacity.
In the workshop, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance and Tuscia University signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation in academic exchange activities, faculty and student mobility programmes funded by the European Union, while expanding the network of Vietnamese and international higher education institutions.

The STRIVE Project (2024–2027) aims to enhance internationalization capacity and modernize international cooperation activities at Vietnamese higher education institutions. At the same time, the Project strengthens linkages between higher education institutions in Europe and Vietnam. STRIVE adheres to the objectives of the Erasmus+ CBHE Programme, enabling Vietnamese higher education institutions to access opportunities from the Erasmus+ cooperation funding scheme.
After 18 months of implementation, in January 2024, the Academy of Public Administration and Governance signed the Partnership Agreement with AlmaLaurea Inter-University Consortium, Italy – the International Coordinator of the Project; participated in launching the Project website at https://strive-project.eu; contributed to the development and publication of the Project Quality Plan and Mid-term Quality Report; led the development of the new project proposal on tourism governance; and signed the cooperation agreement with Tuscia University, Italy.
