MOTIVE Project Achivements

Project Quality Assessment

On 12 April 2021, the MOTIVE Project (Monitoring Trends in Vietnamese Graduates’ Employment) was selected by the International Board of Global Actors and Business for Sustainability – ENTREPS (a partner of the United Nations)[1] as one of the 300 best sustainable practice projects worldwide, out of more than 5,000 applications from 126 countries.

On 27 March 2024, representatives of the European Commission, through the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), officially communicated the Project evaluation results. Accordingly, the Project was rated VERY GOOD, which represents the highest level among the four evaluation grades defined by the European Commission[2].

Project Results Achieved

-     Publication of two graduate employment survey reports based on data collected in 2020 and 2021 from nine Vietnamese partner institutions, with the second report including comparative analysis against the first survey results;

-     Publication of a Guideline for Higher Education Institutions on the implementation of graduate tracer studies;

-     Publication of a Recommendation document on research methodologies for graduate tracer studies;

-     Publication of Recommendations for Higher Education Institutions on university governance and policies and strategies in higher education;

-     Development of an Online Graduate Employment Tracer Study Portal.

Benefits and Results for the Academy of Public Administration and Governance

a) Overall outcomes

The MOTIVE Project is the first international project in which the Academy of Public Administration and Governance participated as a partner institution, funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.

b) Specific outcomes

-     Number of academic and administrative staff participating in overseas Project activities:

-     Three outbound missions to the Italian Republic and the Republic of Austria, with a total of 16 staff members participating;

-     Number of academic and administrative staff participating in international conferences, workshops and training activities organised in Viet Nam:

-     11 conferences/workshops/training events, with a total of 114 staff participants;

-     Number of graduates participating in two survey rounds conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam and integrated with Project activities:

-     1,507 graduates out of 1,669, representing a participation rate of 90.3%;

-     Number of student scientific research papers from Academy of Public Administration (Hanoi University of Home Affairs before 1st January 2023):

-     Five out of eight papers were assessed as good quality and published on the Project website;

-     Enhanced institutional visibility of the Academy through multiple communication channels, including:
