On August 18, 2025, APAG Headquarters in Ha Noi, Dr. Bui Phuong Dinh, Vice President of APAG, had a working session with Ms. Kartini Binte Abdul Rahman, Senior Associate Director, Alumni Relations, Outreach and Professional Development, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (National University of Singapore).
Also attending the meeting were representatives from the Department of Graduate Training Management and the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation.
At the working session. This event marked a meaningful continuation in the cooperation between the two institutions. Previously, in 2024 and 2025, APAG held several working sessions with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) to outline cooperation activities in high-level leadership training, academic research projects, and conferences.

In his remarks, Dr. Bui Phuong Dinh emphasized the importance of international cooperation in enhancing training capacity, fostering leadership development, and expanding research opportunities for lecturers and doctoral candidates in an advanced international environment.
During the meeting, the two sides focused on strategic cooperation orientations, including: (1) Recruitment and implementation of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program; (2) Doctoral training opportunities: APAG plans to send young staff to pursue doctoral programs at LKYSPP, combined with scholarship support policies for PhD candidates under Project 89 of the National University of Singapore; (3) Thematic training collaboration: inviting LKYSPP experts to participate in international forums and conferences, strengthening academic exchange and research cooperation.

Ms. Kartini Binte Abdul Rahman highly appreciated the APAG’s capacity and reputation in the region and expressed her strong interest in expanding cooperation through training programs, research, and expert exchange in the coming period.
The working session not only consolidated the cooperative relationship between the two institutions but also opened up practical cooperation directions, including: jointly launching the MPA program recruitment; supporting PhD candidates and young staff through scholarships and doctoral training at LKYSPP (with additional research funding support under NUS’s Project 89); co-organizing conferences and seminars with international experts, thus contributing to the development of a modern, internationally integrated, and sustainable public administration under the theme “Enhancing innovation capacity toward national sustainable development in the new era”; and expanding international training cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting strengthened the cooperative ties between APAG and LKYSPP, opening up many opportunities for training, professional development, and research, toward building a modern, internationally integrated public administration system.
