On February 10, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y, HCMA Vice President, chaired the Conference on Implementing International Cooperation Tasks for 2025 of the Department of International Cooperation (HCMA).

Co-chairing the event was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation (HCMA), along with representatives of the HCMA units and all officials of the department.

At the conference, under the authorization of the HCMA President, the representative from the Department of Organization and Personnel (HCMA) announced the decision regarding the appointment of new staff to the Department of International Cooperation (HCMA).

In his report summarizing the international cooperation efforts in 2024 and outlining the direction for 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia emphasized that in 2024, the HCMA’s international cooperation activities were continuously renewed, strengthened, and expanded, achieving significant milestones. These achievements contributed to affirming the HCMA’s position and role while enhancing its status in international relations and cooperation. At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Nghia also assigned tasks to newly appointed staff, ensuring alignment with their expertise, skills, and experience.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y, HCMA Vice President, acknowledged and commended the outstanding and comprehensive results achieved in the HCMA’s international cooperation activities in 2024. He also praised the Department of International Cooperation for its proactive efforts in implementing Decision No. 214-QĐ/TW regarding the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA).

Emphasizing the significance of the HCMA’s international cooperation efforts, he urged the Department to implement initiatives that would contribute to transforming the HCMA into a center of global intellectual excellence and a modern training institution of international standing for the Party.

With 2025 being a year of major events for the Party, the State, and HCMA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duong Trung Y encouraged the newly appointed staff to actively engage in their roles, integrate quickly into the work environment, foster unity, and fulfill their assigned duties effectively. He emphasized the need to enhance human resource quality to ensure professionalism, expertise, and modernization in task execution. Furthermore, he called for increased synchronization and systematic management in international cooperation activities, along with guidance, supervision, and coordination among the HCMA’s units, to ensure a unified approach. He also stressed the importance of developing monthly and quarterly activity plans to optimize time allocation and ensure feasibility and efficiency in implementation.
